MAMMOTH GUIDE GETTING HERE... DRIVING Drive Time to Mammoth 4.5 hrs from LA or Vegas 6 hrs from San Francisco 6.5 hrs from San Diego 3 hrs from Reno Driving Directions from Los Angeles Hwy 405 north, to Hwy 5 north, to Hwy 14 north to the town of Mojave. Take a right turn and continue on Hwy 14 north to Hwy 395 north (towards Reno/Bishop), to Hwy 203 (Mammoth Lakes Junction). Exit Hwy 203 and drive 6 miles into the town of Mammoth Lakes. Hwy 203 is Main Street. FLYING There is charter service available into the Mammoth Airport. Or there are extremely inexpensive flights into Reno, and rent a car for a 3 hour drive. LESSONS Lessons are available at Mammoth Mountain for everyone from Beginners to Advanced and Racing classes and must generally be booked at least one day in advance. Call 1.800.Mammoth and mention Elevation to be put into a class with other Elevation skiers and boarders.
